I’m a Human Factors Engineer and UX Researcher with experience improving systems in healthcare, e-governance, and digital media. I focus on how people interact with complex technologies and use that understanding to design safer, more intuitive experiences. At Virginia Tech, I’m completing my MS in Human Factors and Ergonomics, studying how robotic assistance affects teamwork, workload, and performance. My work combines usability testing, motion capture, IPA coding, and physiological data. Previously, I led UX research for UMANG, India’s national e-governance chatbot, and ran eye-tracking studies at Viacom18’s Voot to improve user engagement. I specialize in experimental design, task analysis, and translating research into product decisions that support performance and ease of use. I'm passionate about creating systems that reduce friction, support user performance, and improve safety.
Coordinated participant recruitment, scheduling, training, and study tracking across multiple ergonomics studies involving motion capture and physiological data collection.
Drafted IRB documentation, study scripts, and operational protocols to support compliant and repeatable research workflows.
Developed participant prep and equipment protocols for IMU, EMG, and Motion Capture systems.
Collaborated with researchers to update scripts, refine procedures, and support smooth execution of concurrent studies.
Worked with a cross-functional team of developers and government stakeholders to launch an enhanced UMANG Bot interface (Web, App, IVR) across 19 government services, improving overall user satisfaction and accessibility.
Conducted user interviews, usability testing, and journey mapping to identify barriers services, translating insights into multimodal design improvements.
Developed and implemented comprehensive Bot Analytics dashboards to examine usage patterns, providing actionable insights that significantly improved user retention.
Managed and mentored a team of 7 interns on qualitative analysis and behavior mapping, scaling research capacity and accelerating testing cycles.
Collaborated with developers, product managers, and government representatives to align bot’s conversation flows with user feedback, ensuring data privacy compliance and user-friendly interactions.
Conducted eye-tracking studies with diverse user cohorts to evaluate homepage design during high-traffic campaigns (e.g., Bigg Boss), leading to improved carousel placement and reduced bounce rates.
Analyzed user behavior data and feedback to identify friction in sign-up and login flows, driving flow simplification which increased activation rates by 8% MoM.
Designed and ran A/B tests to validate interface adjustments, integrating behavioral insights into product roadmap decisions with product, design, and engineering teams.
Mapped user journeys and surfaced key drop-off points in content navigation, contributing recommendations that enhanced viewer engagement and retention.
